Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill Blog Musicians’ Village New Orleans

Hot is an understatement. If you skip breakfast, you will be sick by noon. Finally found Musicians’ Village today. The street was blocked off, so I was about to circumvent the block all together, when I noticed a lady on her front porch waving. Turns out she was the self-appointed “Queen” of Musicians’ Village. Liese Dettmer. Now I am conversing with royalty. She is dropping names like Harry, and Bradford and “Brad got it all wrong.” And I am just a common blogger, but I tell her I will have something up today, and that gets me a couple of her cd’s and a bottle of water. She also invites me in to get a gander at her artwork. Not only a musician but an artist as well. I like her. She is real. If you go to Musicians’ Village, say hello, she will be there selling a cd for the benefit of the village, if she is not somewhere in the world being a musician on tour.
