Ice Flyers celebrate beach and attempt world record
Pensacola, FL- Even though the official summer season is coming to an end, the Pensacola Ice Flyers are going to attempt to extend it for locals with Pensacola’s very own indoor bikini parade. The idea stemmed over the summer with the detrimental oil spill effecting Pensacola Beach. “We just want to raise awareness for the beaches and remind Pensacola natives that the beach is still here and open for business. And it would be great if we could come together as a community to break the current World Record,” team President Chuck McCartney commented.
The Ice Flyers’ will attempt to break the world record of world’s largest bikini parade on November 6 in The Hangar when the Ice Flyers’ squad faces off against the Huntsville Havoc. In addition to the action on the ice and the fun in the stands, the event will be used to raise awareness and funds for the Emerald Coastkeeper foundation.
Director of Marketing and Game Presentation, Aaron Epstein, says, “Working with them was and is paramount to the success of the event. The fact is, even if we don’t break the record, the event will certainly be talked about and they will gain from the exposure and generous nature of our fans. It’s really is a win-win situation.” The current record is held by the Gillette Venus Team at Procter & Gamble. The Gillette Venus Team was able to break the previous record (held by Kellogg’s Special K in Johannesburg, South Africa of 287 ladies in bikinis) on May 23, 2010 by gathering 323 ladies sporting bikinis in Koto-ku, Tokyo.
Anyone interested in partnering, sponsoring, or helping out on this record breaking night should contact Aaron Epstein for more information. He can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org <mailto:email@example.com> or in the Ice Flyers office at 850-466-3111
