Lady Gaga St Francis of AssisiA CONTROVERSIAL artist plans to shame BP bosses by presenting them with a bizarre statue of Lady Gaga made using oil from the Gulf of Mexico spill.

US sculptor Daniel Edwards has made the model, which features the singer as a naked version of patron saint of animals St Francis of Assisi. She is seen standing on the BP logo, hugging an octopus and with an oil-drenched pelican in her hair.

Edwards, 45, plans to hand it to chiefs at BP’s HQ in London.

He said: “Seeing dead wildlife in my studio deepened my sorrow, that turned to disgust.”

His other previous controversial works have included a statue of Prince Harry as a dead soldier.
