Louisiana Seafood Plans Major National Outreach

The Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to team with an agency skilled at delivering direct marketing and advertising services.

The initiative is part of a major effort to enhance the image and reputation of Louisiana seafood in the wake of the April 2010 BP/Deep Water Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The agency that is selected will assist Louisiana’s seafood community in rebuilding trust in its brand that, surveys show, has been damaged by the oil spill.

The Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board is a program under the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
