As this country dies from a thousand cuts, there are those among us who will be too proud to ask for help. There is someone in your neighborhood, right on your block, right now, without enough food. They will be sitting watching tv, anticipating loss of income, or already down to change.
Knock on the front door, ask them if they have enough food. Offer to buy them some groceries. Just let them know you care. That will make them less hungry, less desperate.
A thousand cuts, one or two or three right on your block. Just go knock on the door.
It will be the most satisfying thing you will ever do in your life. Extend a helping hand
There are some who are in darkness
And the others are in light
And you see the ones in brightness
Those in darkness drop from sight.
